The Last Word

The commonwealth of Massachusetts is located in the New England territory of the United States. It is best known for the JKF Library, the Salem witch trials, and Harvard, the oldest college in the United States.

It is one of the smallest states in the country, but 3rd in line for most densely populated. Interestingly enough, 2/3rd’s of Massachusetts residents live in the Boston area.

Higher Average Salary in Mass.

Boston has a higher average cost of living than many states; the cost of living there is about 9% higher than the national average. Fortunately for the residents of Massachusetts, the average annual salary of workers there is commensurate with the cost of living.

The average annual salary for workers is approximately $58,000 a year, almost $11,000 higher than the national average.

An audio engineer in the state can make upwards of around $88,000 a year. That’s $30,000 more a year than the average citizen.

The Last Word

Overall, for anyone in or wanting to go into the audio engineering field; Massachusetts looks like a good alternative.

The salary is higher than both the national and local averages and there are plenty of schools in the area.
